About

Hi there!

My name is Chelsea Moore and I am a 31 year-old photographer currently residing in my hometown of Chicago, IL. Street photography has always been my favorite style and is undoubtedly the one that sparked my passion for taking photos; before I even knew it was an official genre within the field, I was enthralled by the unplanned and candid aspect of subjects in the streets, particularly in urban environments. I’ve found that I have an eye for and am drawn towards capturing scenes that may be considered ordinary or mundane - objects, or people, that one might not otherwise give a second glance.

Being a music lover and an advocate for social change and racial justice, I dabbled in concert and documentary photography for awhile as well (many years ago in my early-mid 20s!) I reminisce on that time fondly, and hope to find my way back to those realms sometime in my future.

While I have past experience with digital photography (having shot with a Canon DSLR), I currently shoot with my iPhone and a variety of older film cameras - my most used being a vintage Pentax Spotmatic. Between all my cameras, past and present, I strive strive to show you my take on life, humanity, beauty, and truth. I have taken a long pause with much of my photographic endeavors the last few years - I hope to have so much more to share with you here soon, as I slowly make my way back. Enjoy <3
